



Land Rover is returning to Dakar! Well, sort of. In truth, Land Rover is sponsoring a team of wounded soldiers racing under the Race2Recovery banner. Race2Recovery's mission isn't just racing the Dakar Rally come January of next year. The organization will be raising money for Help for Heroes and the Tedworth House Personnel Recovery Centre.

Land Rover has published a coffee table book detailing the Journey of Discovery expedition that saw the 1,000,000th Discovery make its way over 11,000 miles from Birmingham to Beijing. The book numbers 132 pages and is very well presented. Inside you can find great photos, statistics, background info on the team, and much more.
Today we're taking a look at the 2012 Defender by Overfinch, which has received enhancements both inside and out. Right off the top, we'll once again say we're not fans of non-OEM hood lettering, but the overall look of the Overfinch Defender comes together nicely. Also on display are Overfinch's Apollo line of five-spoke alloy wheels, which are available in four finishes.
That's certainly an unusual post title. Fortunately, the unusual title matches the unusual promotional product we're talking about today. That product is an edible survival guide to the Arabian Desert created by Y&R Dubai (an advertising agency) for Land Rover. The booklet reportedly has roughly the same nutritional value as a cheeseburger.
