2010 Land Rover Discovery 4

Which? Car’s annual satisfaction survey has found that owners in Britain love their Land Rovers. The survey rated the 2010 and newer Land Rover Discovery 4 (LR4 here in the U.S.) at 95.7%, which put the Discovery 4 in third place. This new poll is yet another testament to the overall satisfaction Land Rover owners experience with their vehicles despite continued challenges the Land Rover brand has with reliability.

Which? polled 52,563 people between December 2010 and March 2011 via the Which? web site. The respondents told Which? about 63,727 vehicles, making the Which? Car survey the largest survey of its type in the UK for the fifth year running. Uniquely, the survey does not limit the model year of the car, allowing it to canvas all terms of ownership from new purchasers to those who have owned their car for an extended period. Which? translates the survey data into a Customer Score, the average of which for the 2011 survey is 79%.

Coming in at the top spot was the 2000-2005 Toyota Yaris Verso at 97.7% while second place went to the 2008 and newer Volkswagen Passat CC with 96.4%. As mentioned above, the Discovery 4 ranked third with 95.7%, despite receiving a two-star reliability rating (out of five) in the Which? Car 2011 reliability survey.  Rounding out the bottom of the survey results were offerings from Renault, Peugeot, Citroen, Rover, and Mercedes-Benz (including the M-Class).
