Hamann and Startech Range Rover Evoques

Manufacturers aren’t the only ones using the Geneva Motor Show to unveil new products. In fact, Land Rover isn’t even the only one with a convertible Evoque. German tuner Startech has unveiled its version of a Range Rover Evoque convertible and we’ve included a photos of Land Rover’s official Evoque convertible concept wearing Causeway Grey for comparison.

Both vehicles share very similar lines and methodologies behind their transformation, but the Startech version features a different front body kit, what looks to be a Smurf-hide interior, and different wheels. The biggest difference, however, is availability. While Land Rover is still weighing its options on putting an Evoque convertible into production, we’re sure that Startech would be happy to fire up the Sawzall today.

The second company to bring us a new Evoque is Hamann, another German tuner. Hamann’s Geneva offering isn’t quite as radical as the convertibles shown above, but this widebody kit adds a certain (fender) flair to the Evoque. The kit adds 2.75 inches to the front width and 3.15 inches to the rear. The kit accommodates 22-inch one-piece Anniversary EVO or Anniversary EVO BLack Line wheels. The interior of this particular example has been done in bright red, but like most bespoke vehicles the customer can specify colors, interior trims, wheels, and other details. Under the hood, the 2.2L diesel engines see a 31 horsepower increase, while the 2.2L gasoline engines picks up 38 horsepower. Performance gains are thanks to upgraded engine software, a revised exhaust system, and high-performance air filtration.
