Back in mid-July of 2011 we featured this 2000 Land Rover Discovery Series II TReK. We updated our post with re-listings and price drops later in July and once again in September before losing track of the TReK. To our surprise, while browsing eBay today we noticed this vehicle was listed again by Land Rover Bedford in Bedford, New Hampshire.
This particular example is vehicle #7 of the 15 that were produced for the 2000 West Virginia TReK competition. When listed on July 10th, 2011, this 2000 Discovery TReK had a Buy It Now price of $31,000.00. Later in July it was down to $27,800.00 and in September the price fell to $23,000.00 even. The current Buy It Now price is currently set at $19,900.00. Over the past seven months, the seller has lopped $11,100.00 off the asking price.
At the moment, the standing bid is $9,451.00 with the reserve not met and there are four days left on the auction. It will be interesting to see if the vehicle sells this time or disappears from eBay after the auction. As we mentioned before, the TReK series vehicles are rather uncommon, but they do come up for sale on a fairly regular basis. Prices range all over the board depending on mileage, condition, and model year. This particular example looks to be in very good condition and has fallen to a price that could make it tempting.
Land Rover North America has released new national incentives for the first quarter of 2012. All previous incentives expired January 2nd, 2012, and the new round of incentives expire on April 2nd, 2012. While all national 2011 leasing and purchasing incentives have been removed from the official Land Rover website, speak with a Land Rover retailer about regional offers.
