2012 Range Rover Westminster Special Edition

The current Range Rover will enjoy its 10th anniversary in 2012 and Land Rover is giving the model a handful of special editions for the UK market. Come 2013, the Range Rover will enter its fourth generation, so Land Rover is definitely sending out the current generation on a high note. The three special editions include the TDV8 Westminster, the TDV8 Autobiography, and the Supercharged Autobiography. Land Rover buyers in the U.S. market will already be familiar with the Supercharged Autobiography edition, but the two diesel-powered variants are not available on this side of the Atlantic.

Range Rover Westminster Edition

The Range Rover Westminster Edition (pictured) replaces the TDV8 Vogue and Vogue SE trims, and is equipped with additional features that bolster the Range Rover’s style and luxury. Notable features on the Westminster Edition include Noble front grill and side vent finish, Titan silver front trim details that include fog lamp bezels, 20-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels, and Westminster badging. Inside, owners will find illuminated door sill plates, luxury carpeting, Grand Black lacquer trim details, bright-finished pedals, heated and cooled front seats, the Dual View front info/navigation screen (a feature not available on any model in the U.S. market due to current regulations that prohibit the display of entertainment media on dash-mounted screens), and a 1,200W harman/kardon LOGIC7 audio system with 19 speakers.

All three special editions are equipped with a 1,200W harman/kardon LOGIC7 audio system with 19 speakers.

The Westminster is powered by a 4.4-liter V8 turbodiesel backed by an eight-speed transmission. Seven exterior colors are available along with five interior color combinations. Morel standard equipment highlights includes a sunroof, automatic headlights, automatic windshield wipers, Park Distance Control, and rear-view camera.

Prices start at £69,995.00 (approximately $110,750.00).

TDV8 Autobiography and
Supercharged Autobiography

Both the TDV8 Autobiography and the Supercharged Autobiography come standard with the Range Rover Design Pack, which includes exterior styling features such as new front and rear bumpers; Titan silver front grill, side vents, and fog lamp surrounds; and stainless steel exhaust tips. Moving inside the Autobiography Special Editions, we find reclining rear seats with lumbar adjustment, heating, cooling, and adjustable headrests. The front passenger seat includes a “front seat away” feature that allows extra legroom for the rear seat passenger. Additionally, the front seat memory function can store up to three personalized presets. As with the Westminster, the Autobiography vehicles includes the 19-speaker 1,200W harman/kardon LOGIC7 audio system and the illuminated door sill plates. Seven exterior colors are available along with a range of interior color options.

The TDV8 Autobiography is powered by a 4.4-liter turbodiesel engine backed by an eight-speed transmission. The Supercharged Autobiography is motivated by the same engine found here in the U.S., which is a  supercharged 5.0-liter LRV8 gasoline engine backed by a six-speed automatic transmission.

Prices start at £84,295.00 (approximately $133,375.00) for the TDV8 Autobiography and £86,895.00 (approximately $137,500.00) for the Supercharged Autobiography.

All three special editions will go on sale in March.
