2012 Range Rover Evoque UK Specification

Another day, another award for the Range Rover Evoque. Late last week Stuff Magazine honored the 2012 Range Rover Evoque as its 2011 Car of the Year. In total, the Range Rover Evoque has gathered up 23 international awards so far and the 2011/2012 awards season is far from over. Not bad at all for a vehicle that has been on the market only a few short weeks. Stuff Magazine editors teamed with industry experts from Autocar to judge a variety of contenders based on technology, design, and style. The Evoque topped some very tough competitors, including offerings from Ferrari, Ford, Renault, Nissan, and MINI.

Stuff Magazine’s Car of the Year award was presented at an event that took place at London’s Globe Theatre. At the award ceremony, Stuff Magazine Editor Will Findlater said, “For combining the off-road capabilities of a Range Rover and leading technology with the desirability of a Blade Runner space car, the Range Rover Evoque just had to win it for us.”

Evoque Technology Highlights

Terrain Response – Terrain Response merges selectable terrain handling technology with dynamic stability control, electronic traction control, hill descent control, hill start assist, and roll stability control.

Adaptive Dynamics with MagneRide – Adaptive Dynamics detects terrain characteristics and optimizes the MagneRide damper settings to provide improved handling and control. Additionally, a Dynamic Mode can be selected which allows the driver to experience tighter control and sharper response from the Evoque.

Dual Screen Display Technology – The Dual Screen display allows the driver and the passenger to view different content on the same screen. Sorry U.S.-buyers, our government has banned the display of entertainment media on the driver’s display, even if the driver can’t see it. There is no word when, or if, we’ll get Dual Screen technology.

825-watt Meridian Audio System – This premium sound system is optional on the Range Rover Evoque Pure and standard on the Prestige and the Dynamic.
