The 2012 Range Rover Evoque has been honored with the 2012 MacRobert Award and also took home a 2012 Auto Express Award. Not to be outdone, the Land Rover Discovery 4 (LR4) also was a top contender in this year's Auto Express Award series.
Land Rover will be using the Goodwood Festival of Speed to both celebrate the success of the Journey of Discovery and help promote its new "Been Anywhere Interesting Lately?" advertising campaign. Land Rover's display is intended to replicate the "atmosphere within the Solihull manufacturing facility."
Land Rover has published a coffee table book detailing the Journey of Discovery expedition that saw the 1,000,000th Discovery make its way over 11,000 miles from Birmingham to Beijing. The book numbers 132 pages and is very well presented. Inside you can find great photos, statistics, background info on the team, and much more.
Land Rover's Journey of Discovery rolled into Beijing, China, just in time for the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. Over the course of the 50 day journey that started on February 29th at the Solihull plant where the 1,000,000th Discovery was built, the team has visited 13 countries and visited 78 cities.
Even though Land Rover's Journey of Discovery hasn't yet reached Beijing, we couldn't resist choosing our 10 favorite photos of the expedition. The photographers plying their trade along the Journey of Discovery route have done some exceptional work, which made choosing just 10 photos a nearly impossible task.
