The latest edition of our 2012 color swatch series is the 2012 Land Rover LR4. The LR4 is available in a dozen different colors for the 2012 model year. Like other offerings from Land Rover, the color selection focuses primarily on earthy tones such as Nara Bronze, Aintree Green, and Baltic Blue. The brightest shade is Firenze Red, followed by the two silver hues.
Today we have something that is fun and (hopefully) at least a bit educational. Land Rover has a long history of choosing regions, cities, and natural landscapes as inspiration for colors. What we have done is listed all the 2012 model year colors along with some historical colors and provided a bit of background on the origins of the name (or, at least, have taken our best guess).
A short while back we took a look at the 2012 Range Rover Evoque's exterior colors as well as the interior color options that are available for U.S. buyers. Today, we have a couple of renderings of the Evoque wearing custom two-tone and tri-tone paint schemes along with a couple of additional photos featuring cars from Startech and Maragoni.
Land Rover has given 2012 Range Rover buyers a wide range of colors from which to choose. All trims — the HSE, HSE LUX, Supercharged, and Autobiography — share the same 10 standard color choices. Buyers who are not satisfied with the basic shades that make up the standard selection can move up to the Range Rover Autobiography, which offers a total of 32 color options.
Last week we broke down the various interior color choices available for the 2012 Range Rover Evoque. Today, we're looking at the exterior colors available for the U.S.-spec models. There are 10 color options available in the U.S. for 2012. Fuji White, Orkney Grey, Indus Silver, Ipanema Sand, and Buckingham Blue are standard colors available at no additional cost. Additionally, there are five premium colors available.
