The 2012 Range Rover Evoque has been honored with the 2012 MacRobert Award and also took home a 2012 Auto Express Award. Not to be outdone, the Land Rover Discovery 4 (LR4) also was a top contender in this year's Auto Express Award series.
One year ago the 2011 Land Rover Discovery 4 (LR4) took the top spot in the 1,900kg (4,188 lbs.) category of the 2011 Towcar Awards. Flash forward to June of 2012 and you'll experience a mild case of déjà vu. The Discovery 4 recently won the 1,900kg class for the third year in a row.
It has been a whole three weeks or so since the 2012 Range Rover Evoque won a notable award. Last month, the Evoque took the top spot in Diesel Car Magazine's Car of the Year series. Just a few days ago, the Evoque was named 'Best of the Best' in Robb Report's sport utility vehicle segment.
Land Rover's 2012 Range Rover Evoque has received two more awards. The first is the Women's World Car of the Year, which not only named the Evoque its top luxury pick, but also the supreme winner. The second award comes from WardsAuto World, which recognized the Evoque for its interior finish.
The most recent award earned by the 2012 Range Rover Evoque comes in the form of the 2012 World Car Design of the Year, where it was up against the Citroën DS5, Hyundai Veloster, and others. The award was announced at a press conference hosted by Bridgestone Corporation at the 2012 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS).
