It's really amazing how quickly time goes by. It seems like yesterday we were still working out what to call this thing and putting the first few posts together. So, it was with a little bit of surprise that after logging in today we noticed the post counter sat at 199! That means this is officially our 200th entry.
Twisted Performance, an independent builder of special edition Defenders for the UK market, has released new photos of its vehicles: the Alpine, French, and Retro Editions. Each Twisted Performance special edition Defender is available as either a long-wheelbase Classic 110 or a short-wheelbase Sport 90.
The finalists for the 2012 World Car Awards have been announced and the new 2012 Range Rover Evoque is on the list. The World Car of the Year segment recognizes vehicles that are of worldwide significance. Competitors include the BMW 1 Series, Audi A6, and the Chevrolet Volt, among others. The overall winner will be announced at the New York International Auto Show on Thursday, April 5th, 2012.
We're still waiting for somebody to expedition-up the Range Rover Evoque — you know it's going to happen eventually — but for now we have to make do with street-ready tuner examples. One of the most recent is from A. Kahn Design, a British design firm we've featured several times in the past.
Winding Road magazine's Best Car of the Year awards have been announced and Jaguar Land Rover North America has taken two awards. The 2012 Jaguar XJ took home the "Best Luxury Sedan" award and the "Best Big Utility" nod went to the 2012 Land Rover LR4. This is the first win for the Land Rover LR4 and the second for the Jaguar XJ.
