Land Rover's Journey of Discovery wrapped up its time in the Ukraine and headed into Russia this week. Along the way they visited the desolate Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant Exclusion Zone; a former submarine base turned museum in Balaklava, Ukraine; and collection of Soviet cars near Tula, Russia.
Land Rover North America has issued a recall notice for certain 1995 -2004 Discovery, Discovery II, and Range Rover Classic vehicles. The recall concerns faulty driveshaft couplings installed as service parts. The couplings may cause vibration and "exhibit the onset of joint separation."
Land Rover is focusing its 25th anniversary celebration efforts on the upcoming 2012 New York International Auto Show, which is a fitting venue considering New York City is Land Rover's largest metropolitan market. In that study, 84,000 owners and lessees of 2007 to 2011 model year vehicles were surveyed on their service experience.
