Land Rover is returning to Dakar! Well, sort of. In truth, Land Rover is sponsoring a team of wounded soldiers racing under the Race2Recovery banner. Race2Recovery's mission isn't just racing the Dakar Rally come January of next year. The organization will be raising money for Help for Heroes and the Tedworth House Personnel Recovery Centre.
It has been a whole three weeks or so since the 2012 Range Rover Evoque won a notable award. Last month, the Evoque took the top spot in Diesel Car Magazine's Car of the Year series. Just a few days ago, the Evoque was named 'Best of the Best' in Robb Report's sport utility vehicle segment.
This year's Land Rover Bursary winner is a team that will support Andy Campbell's efforts to "encourage our understanding of geography on our doorstep and to show that exploration is within everyone's reach, whatever their ability."
