RoverGuide reader Shihab Huq was kind enough to send us some excellent photos of the DC100 and DC100 Sport from the Los Angeles Auto Show. It was at the LA Auto Show on November 16th that the concepts made their North American debut. At the show, two important pieces of information were conveyed by John Edwards, Global Brand Director at Land Rover, about the DC100.
Frank Klaas, Global Head of Communications, kicked things off for Jaguar Land Rover this morning at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show. Land Rover has mentioned California in conjunction with the DC100 and particularly with the DC100 Sport, so the LA show was a natural choice of venue for introducing the concepts to North America.
Starting tonight, automotive journalists everywhere are going to be falling over themselves attempting to report on all of the activity surrounding the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show. A good chunk of the action will focus on Land Rover as it presents the DC100 concepts in North America for the first time. So, while we wait for Land Rover to kick off the DC100 concept in the U.S. tomorrow, we've assembled this gallery of DC100 images.
Last week, Road & Track published a handful of spy shots that revealed the changes Land Rover had made to the exterior of the DC100 concept. These changes were driven by consumer and enthusiast feedback that wished to see a DC100 that was more compatible with the Defender's heritage. Now, Land Rover has released photos ahead of the official North American debut of the DC100 and DC100 Sport concepts at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show on November 16th.
New images of the DC100 concept have been released that reveal a Fuji White paint job and a more reasonable set of wheels. These new images reveal not only the Fuji White paint topped by a Santorini Black roof — which looks much better than the silver we have been seeing — but also 20-inch alloy wheels with Cooper all-terrain tires. The new DC100 images were released in conjunction with the DC100's Middle Eastern debut at the 2011 Dubai International Motor Show.
