The Journey of Discovery has passed through a total of 12 countries and has finally reached China, the 13th country on the trip.The most direct route to Beijing from the expedition's current position in Kashgar still measures roughly 2,500 miles. The teams plans to arrive in Beijing ahead of the Auto China show.
What you're looking at here is the new Loder1899 Horus edition Range Rover Evoque. If you paid attention in school (we didn't) or are a mythology geek (we are), you'll know Horus is a major deity belonging to the ancient Egyptian mythos. Loder1899, a German tuner, says its Evoque is inspired by the falcon-headed god.
Today we have a gallery of photos taken as the team traveled through deserts of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. So far the team has logged 6,250 miles, which means they have passed the half-way mark. The four Discovery 4 (LR4) vehicles should arrive in Beijing just in time for the Beijing Motor Show.
While Land Rover has maintained from day one that the DC100 is the Defender, it seems that the company may be considering positioning the DC100 not as the "utility" category Defender, but as the new entry-level "leisure" category Land Rover.
