2011 Land Rover LR4 Profile

NADAguides, a leading provider of vehicle analytics to both consumers and businesses, has ranked the 2011 Land Rover LR4 as a Top Recommended Current Buy in its Quarterly Car Buyers Market Report. These ongoing rankings are based on first-year ownership depreciation values, MSRP, incentives, rebates, warranties, features, availability, and roadside assistance services.

Vehicle Qualification

To qualify, vehicles must have a first-year depreciation value of less than 20 percent, offer a competitive MSRP, a good warranty, competitive financing or rebates, be well-featured, and be readily available. The report is intended to aid consumers with determining which vehicles should be on their “must consider” list.

Why the LR4 is a Recommended Buy

NADAguides gave a brief rundown on each vehicle as to why it was chosen to be a recommended buy. These days, when manufacturers are trying to lure buyers with attractive ownership packages, the competition for the Top Recommended Current Buy slots is fierce and only nine vehicles made the list on this round.

The LR4’s Finances – According to NADAguides data, the LR4 has a 17 percent first-year depreciation rate. In addition, a competitive starting MSRP of $48,500.00 and financing that starts at 0.9% for 36 months makes the LR4 a compelling choice. At the time of the study, the LR4 had a 44-day inventory supply, which is a factor many studies overlook. No matter how nice a car may be, it’s not much of a “best buy” if you can’t find one. Fortunately, Land Rover retailers are well-stocked.

The LR4’s Features – NADAguides cites the 2011 LR4’s powerful engine, comprehensive airbag setup, premium audio system, DVD player, and navigation system as additional reasons the LR4 is a top choice. Rounding out the package is a 4-year, 50,000-mile warranty backed by roadside assistance and the first scheduled maintenance is free of charge.

Other 2011 LR4 Awards

The NADAguides recognition is just another in a long list of accolades the LR4 has acquired over the past year. Below are a handful of highlights. Additionally, the overseas counterpart to the LR4 — the Discovery 4 — has earned several awards in non-U.S. markets.

Active Lifestyle – The LR4 was named the top vehicle in the 2011 Active Lifestyle Vehicle Awards Luxury Off-Road category. The Active Lifestyle Vehicle Awards look at a variety of cars for their appeal to those who lead active lives.

Total Quality – The LR4 was also named a first place finisher in Strategic Vision Inc.’s Total Quality Index® (TQI). TQI is a measurement of the complete ownership experience.

Off-Road – Rounding out our partial list is the most prestigious award yet, which came from Petersen’s 4-Wheel & Off-Road’s 2011 4×4 of the Year Competition. The 2011 LR4 HSE took the top spot in a competition involving a 1,000-mile trail evaluation.
