UPDATE 9/13/2011: The photos have been officially released by Land Rover and have been added here. You can also visit our DC100 and DC100 Sport galleries.

This morning at about 2:00 AM we received a Google News alert about the DC100 Sport, a roadster version of the DC100 concept. The DC100 and DC100 Sport will be officially unveiled to the world at the Frankfurt Motor Show this week. However, we got an early and more-than-likely unauthorized look. The article linked to the news alert was taken down within minutes of the alert being issued. Since that time, at least one other website has published all of the photos and specifications ahead of the show.

The DC100 Sport is a roadster pickup truck (think Chevrolet SSR, but with some muscle). Our first reaction was, “A roadster?” Not an expedition, 110, pickup truck, military, or utilitarian version… but yes, a roadster with a “Sport” badge. We’ll have photos here as soon as they are officially released.

As it turns out, our pickup truck rendering was not very far off the mark.

Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept NCC-1701 Interior

The interior of the Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept looks a lot like the bridge of the J.J. Abrams' USS Enterprise NCC-1701 reboot. This can be either a good or a bad thing, depending on how much of a Star Trek geek you happen to be.
