Land Rover U.S. Military Sales Program

Land Rover offers a U.S. Military Sales program that allows any U.S. military member or active duty Department of Defense civilian stationed outside of the U.S. to purchase a U.S.-specification Land Rover at a significant discount. The current “factory direct” discount is 10 percent, which cuts several thousand dollars off the MSRP. Land Rover states that the program is “available to all members of U.S. Military Forces serving overseas,” but the only sales agents listed are in Europe and the only vehicles mentioned are U.S., UK, and European spec.

If you have purchased a Land Rover through the U.S. Military Sales program and had it shipped back to the U.S., we would love to hear your story and get some details on how the program works from the inside.

Land Rover’s program offers the full U.S. range of vehicles (sorry, no loopholes here for getting a Defender shipped to the U.S.) and all vehicles sold through the program are fully compliant with U.S. requirements. Buyers who are going to be stationed overseas on a long-term or indefinite basis can opt for a UK or European specification vehicle at special rates.

Finally, free European roadside assistance and a standard 4-year, 50,000-mile warranty apply.

Home Shipment

It is one thing to buy a Land Rover while in Europe, but it is another to get the vehicle home when it comes time to leave. As part of the program, Land Rover provides free* shipping back to the United States. The vehicle can be delivered to any Land Rover retailer in the contiguous 48 states (Guam, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico are not covered).

The program allows shipping for up to three years after the purchase date and is quite simple. The owner delivers their prepared vehicle to a Home Shipment location along with proper documentation, pay any required fees or taxes, and Land Rover takes care of the rest. The documentation and vehicle preparation requirements will be explained thoroughly upon purchase of the Land Rover. Approximate transport time is 12 to 14 weeks.

*Some fees, duty, state sales tax, and other charges may apply.
