The most recent bespoke Range Rover from British design firm A. Kahn Design makes ample use of Land Rover’s Vesuvius Orange color, which we first saw as a special edition paint celebrating the launch of the 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged. The bright orange 2012 Evoque you see here is simply called the Vesuvius Edition, which as you can see has been fully color coded inside and out.
We’ve always thought Vesuvius Orange was a little bright, but considering there’s a car wearing Sunburst Orange Pearl sitting in the RoverGuide garage at this very moment we’re probably not ones to judge. Perhaps what makes A. Kahn Design’s Evoque a touch on the dazzling side is that it has been relieved of its hood and tailgate lettering and the top has also been painted in the bold color. These small visual cues can really change the feel of a car.
Additional details include Matte Pearl Grey accent paint, Kahn RSXF wheels, crosshair exhaust tips, and a lowered suspension.
Inside the Evoque, we see one of A. Kahn Design’s typically well-crafted interiors.
Inside, we see one of A. Over a half-dozen different textures have gone into the fabric work alone, which to us seems a little overly complex. This is specially true when compared to the outstandingly inviting interior we’ve been looking at in Land Rover’s official 2012 Range Rover Evoque Special Edition. Speaking of…
The particular Vesuvius Evoque shown here is available for £48,875.00 (approximately $79,500.00). That doesn’t seem like too bad of a deal when compared to Land Rover’s latest in-house special edition created by the new Engineered To Order (ETO) division. Land Rover’s ETO is offering its Range Rover Evoque Special Edition — otherwise known as the Victoria Beckham edition — for $129,000.00. If you want Victoria Beckham’s Evoque in the U.S. you better act fast. Only five examples of the official Evoque Special Edition will come to the U.S. market.
It has been a whole three weeks or so since the 2012 Range Rover Evoque won a notable award. Last month, the Evoque took the top spot in Diesel Car Magazine's Car of the Year series. Just a few days ago, the Evoque was named 'Best of the Best' in Robb Report's sport utility vehicle segment.Read Story
