One of the great things about being an independent blog is that we can pretty much say anything we like. Or, more accurately, we can talk about things we don’t like. But, let us start off on a positive note.
We like the Range Rover Evoque. We know the Evoque has some detractors who believe the Evoque is not a “real” Range Rover, but we’re not among them. We like special and limited editions. Special and limited editions are fun and add variety. As far as this Range Rover Evoque Special Edition is concerned, we like the color combination. The dark wheels and grey exterior give it slightly “RoboCop” feel (probably not what Beckham was shooting for). We like the rich tan leather used on the interior. It looks comfortable and inviting. We like the coppery rose gold accents. Overall, we like the look.
The Evoque SE comes with an owner’s manual wallet that has been signed by Victoria Beckham. You could probably sell it on eBay for a few bucks.
What don’t we like? Unless a celebrity is going to come by our office every week to wash the car and detail the interior, we just can’t get worked up in a positive way about celebrity tie-ins. A Victoria Beckham Evoque has been a long rumored — and may we say much feared — addition to the Range Rover lineup. This rumor finally came to fruition at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition in the form of the Range Rover Evoque Special Edition. Despite the celebrity tie-in, which adds little, we must say everything turned out much better than expected.
We would have rather seen the Evoque Special Edition come to market as an Autobiography, but we’ll admit we’re pleasantly surprised by the aesthetics and some of the finishing touches. A huge plus is that we don’t see any ostentatious “Victoria Beckham” badges. This is a mixed blessing, of course, since it brings to ruin our business plan of offering “badge removal kits” that consisted of a screwdriver and a can of WD-40.
Range Rover Evoque Special Edition Features:
The Range Rover Evoque SE does not come cheap. In fact, it’s right up there with the full-size Range Rover Autobiography. To get your hands on one, you will have to part with £79,995.00, which is approximately $129,000.00. No matter which way you look at it, that is a sizable sum for a Range Rover Evoque. However, the Special Edition does come with a hand sewn leather owner’s manual wallet signed by Victoria Beckham. You could probably sell it on eBay for a few bucks.

It has been a whole three weeks or so since the 2012 Range Rover Evoque won a notable award. Last month, the Evoque took the top spot in Diesel Car Magazine's Car of the Year series. Just a few days ago, the Evoque was named 'Best of the Best' in Robb Report's sport utility vehicle segment.
