Prindiville Limited Edition Defender

A couple of days ago we took a look at some accessories designed by Arden for the Range Rover Evoque. In that post, we casually mentioned we could probably start a blog devoted solely to bespoke Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles. Today, we’re once again thinking that might not be a bad idea, because we have yet another custom Land Rover to show you. This time, we’re featuring a limited edition Land Rover Defender from London-based coachbuilder Prindiville Design. The design firm specializes in high-end bespoke vehicles and accessories for Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston martin, Audi, Bentley, Range Rover, BMW, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche.

Prindiville’s latest creation is a limited edition Land Rover Defender based on the Defender 90 Hard Top model. Limited to only 25 units worldwide, the Prindiville Defender features custom touches on the exterior, the interior, and under the hood. Custom performance modifications include an upgraded suspension, braking system, cooling system, and engine.

Prindiville Defender Performance

Prindiville states that when fully equipped, its special edition Defender will do zero-to-60 MPH in 10 seconds.

Engine performance options can increase the 2.4-liter TDi’s power output from 122 to 190-horsepower, depending on the customer’s preferences. Backing this engine is a six-speed manual transmission that can be swapped for an automatic or clutchless-manual (Tiptronic) gearbox, depending once again on the customer’s specifications. Prindiville states that when fully equipped, its special edition Defender will do zero-to-60 MPH in 10 seconds. A stock Defenders can manage this in just under 15 seconds, so the performance improvement is notable.

Connecting the extra power with the pavement are standard 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels. Six-piston caliper high performance brakes and custom suspension springs help round out the overall performance package. All performance modifications to the suspension, braking, cooling, and engine systems were performed by Alive Tuning, a Defender specialist based in Lincolnshire.

Prindiville Defender Appearance

As is true with most bespoke vehicles, the customer has a great deal of latitude when it comes to the appearance of their new ride. This remains true in the case of the Prindiville Defender as customers can specify matte or metallic colors by choosing one of Prindiville’s color schemes. Exterior details include Prindiville badges, a custom exhaust system, chrome side protection, LED front and rear lighting, ribbed underbody protection plates, front and rear parking sensors, and exterior cameras.

A full leather interior features Cobra sport seats with hand-stitched piping. The interior has also been equipped with added sound proofing materials to reduce road and engine noise. A five-inch LCD screen provides access to wireless internet, a DVD player, satellite navigation, the exterior cameras, and the surround sound audio system. The Prindiville Defender also provides Bluetooth connectivity.

Prices start at £52,000.00 (approximately $82,000.00).
