December 2011 U.S. Land Rover Sales

Jaguar Land Rover North America has released final 2011 sales figures for the U.S. market. In total, sales for 2011 came in at 50,375 units, which is an 11 percent increase over the 2010 calendar year when the company sold 45,204 vehicles. For its part, Land Rover was up 20 percent for 2011, its best year since 2007. Jaguar sales were down 8 percent year-over-year at 12,276.

For 2011, Land Rover saw its sales top out at 38,099 units with all vehicles except the Land Rover LR2 driving the annual gains. This sales total is a 20 percent increase over 2010 when the company sold 31,864 vehicles. For the month of December, Land Rover sales were up 28 percent, making it the brand’s best December since the aforementioned 2007 year. A total of 4,743 Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles found new homes in the last month of the year. Of those, 2,244 were Range Rover Evoques.

Range Rover Sport the Volume Leader

The volume leader for 2011 was the Range Rover Sport, which booked 15,333 sales. This is a 24 percent increase over 2010. The Land Rover LR4 came in with a 12 percent increase over last year by selling 7,983 units. The full-size Range Rover was up 11 percent over 2010, with 9,761 units sold.

Land Rover Reports U.S. Sales for May 2012

Jaguar Land Rover North American has reported May 2012 sales. During the month, Land Rover retailers managed to find homes for 3,438 new vehicles. This represents a 19 percent increase over May of 2011 when Land Rover sold 2,891 vehicles. The slow news cycle we're in obviously did not reflect the bustle of activity on North America's showrooms.

Land Rover Reports U.S. Sales for April 2012

Two years of upward momentum continues for Land Rover in April. The brand as a whole was up 10 percent over April of 2011 with 3,292 sales. This brings Land Rover's 2012 running sales total to 13,951 units. Land Rover's April sales combined with the Jaguar brand put Jaguar Land Rover up only 3 percent for the month. However, JLR is up 22 percent year-to-date.
